Emergency Department

The Emergency Department (ED) at Tulare Regional Medical Center has made great strides in providing fast, quality care with continuing high marks from patients for customer satisfaction. Our left without being seen rate is below the national average. The department works closely with the Hospitalist service to quickly and effectively transition patients to a dedicated team who offer them in hospital care once admitted.

Our 2012 Medical Tower Construction will expand our Emergency Department by 400% and includes an ED based rapid-response lab accelerating test results for faster time-to-treatment.  Externally the expansion will provide improved access for ambulance, police and emergency vehicles making it easier and quicker to move patients into the department for life saving care.
