Visitor Resources

Tulare Regional Medical Center has three public entrances; the Main Lobby, the South Wing and the Emergency Department. 

All visitors must register with security.

Visitor Guidelines:

  • Visitors may not smoke in patient rooms or anywhere in the hospital, except the designated outside smoking areas.
  • Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
  • Visitors are limited to no more than two per patient during the same visit.
  • Visitors in semi-private rooms are asked to be considerate of both patients.
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious diseases will not be permitted in patient care areas.
  • Short visits provide the best rest for the patient.
  • Visitors will maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise. 
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.

Waiting Areas:
Visitor lounge areas are available on each patient floor and in the main lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the critical care units, the emergency department and surgery

Gifts for Patients:
Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients.
